A Caring Community

Our Parish is located in St. Clair, Minnesota, a rural farming community situated along the LeSueur River, just 7 miles southeast of Mankato, MN along Highway 83.  Many of the residents work in Mankato and we have our own independent, highly rated Kindergarten through 12th grade School - The St. Clair Cyclones!  The city website shares "Saint Clair is a community with good homes, good schools and good neighbors.

Our Parish

We have over 200 families as members of Immaculate Conception Parish. Some families have ties to the parish 150 plus years.  Others have newly joined.  Our Pastor Father Robert Schneider engages us every week with thought provoking homilies that teach us about Scripture and the Catholic Faith.

• We offer a faith formation program to help children grow closer to Jesus and our Catholic Faith.  We depend on volunteers who are willing to dedicate about 25 hours per year as Faith Formation Teachers.  All teaching materials and books are supplied.  Our youth collect food for area food shelves through our Super Bowl of Caring event and through our door to door food collection program once a year.  Please contact the parish office if you might be interested becoming a teacher- 507-245-3447 or email Kim Bruender at iccouncil2023@gmail.com. 
• Many opportunities exist for people to be actively engaged in celebration of the Mass.  We are always looking for volunteers for ushers, lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Music Ministry and Mass Servers.  If you might be interested, please contact the parish office 507-245-3447 and we will be happy to help you learn about how you can become involved.
• We have a volunteer women's group that helps at funeral luncheons and supports various activities.  All women are encouraged to help bring bars or to volunteer in serving at the funeral luncheons and helping families in their time of grief.
• From time to time we have special parish events bringing people together for food and fun. 

Outreach to Africa

We have a special parish mission with the Simunye Day Care in South Africa.  Supporting this day care helps the poor to have an opportunity to get an education or be employed while ensuring that their children are well cared for.  Members of our parish have visited the day care in South Africa and been actively involved in collaborating to serve the needs of Simunye.  New doors and windows were installed through the generosity of parish and a parish in Germany.
