All Saints Funeral Planning

ABOUT PLANNING A FUNERAL

The death of a loved one is a sad and difficult moment in each of our lives. We know this and want to be especially present to you through our prayers and pastoral support during this time of sorrow. Father Schneider, our staff and the community of All Saints are here to help.

In making funeral arrangements at All Saints Church, we ask the following:

  • Speak with the Father Schneider, Pastor of All Saints Church in Madison Lake, MN to select a date and time for the Funeral Mass.  Please call Father Schneider directly so that he can make sure he is available - 507-469-9979.  He will schedule a time to meet with you and your family to plan the funeral Mass and burial.  This is usually done at the time you are meeting with the funeral home after the death of your loved one, when you are planning other aspects of the funeral.  Father will help you with the scripture readings and music.  The funeral home will help you schedule a musician and in coordinating for any luncheon needs.  At All Saints meals are catered in. Volunteers from the parish host and serve the meal and clean up.
  •  Ordinarily, the priest at All Saints Church presides at the funerals. Occasionally, families request a relative to preside. Priests must have full diocesan faculties in order to preside and must be able to commit to all the religious aspects of the funeral so that details are not left unattended. Please contact Fr. Robert Schneider to discuss the possibility of visiting clergy presiding.
  • All Saints Church is happy to provide for hospitality and a light luncheon after the funeral. We believe that sharing a cup of coffee, or sitting down to a meal is one of the nicest ways for families to gather after the funeral and reminisce.

We look forward to extending a warm welcome to you and ministering to you if you would like to have a funeral at All Saints Catholic Church. May God bless you in this special time of need.
